Si algo nos gusta en CrossFit Singular Box es la competición. Lo llevamos en la sangre. Nos encanta medir nuestros resultados y ponerlos en común para compararlos e intentar mejorar nuestras debilidades y potenciar nuestras fortalezas.
Es por ello que surgió el «CrossFit Singular Box Team», un grupo de atletas, hombres y mujeres, que quieren llevar su entrenamiento a límites aún mayores de intensidad, esfuerzo, disciplina y compromiso. Estamos hablando de entrenar varias veces y varias horas al día, con un seguimiento más cercano de la alimentación y de las fases de actividad y descanso; hablamos de pulir la técnica, de perfeccionar cada movimiento para ganarle segundos al crono, de trabajar la fuerza mediante programaciones específicas y de componer estrategias a medio y largo plazo con el objetivo de participar en competiciones nacionales e internacionales. Y todo, en un ambiente de unidad, diversión y trabajo conjunto.
Este «Team» tiene tan solo 2 meses de vida, pero ya se adivinan en él grandes atletas que os queremos presentar para que, poco a poco, nuestro «Team» sea también el vuestro, aunque sea desde la distancia, animando en la próxima competición o incorporando sus hábitos y entrenamientos a los vuestros para ayudados a mejorar vuestro rendimiento en CrossFit.
Hoy vamos a presentaros a Julián, el fundador y líder del «Team», y en próximos capítulos avanzaremos por el resto de los integrantes.. ¡nuestra sección femenina os encantará!

Deportes que has practicado
He practicado todo tipo de deportes (fútbol, baloncesto, atletismo, surf, Karate y Judo) a partir de los 14 años y viendo que el Karate no me proporcionaba todo lo que buscaba, comence con el Kick Boxing y estuve en esta disciplina unos 10 años. Después empecé con el MMA, deporte que abandoné desde que empece con la disciplina de CrossFit hace ahora mismo unos 2 anos.
¿En qué consiste tu entrenamiento y tu rutina diaria?
Mi entrenamiento ha pasado por diferentes fases, he hecho bases de fuerza sola, mezclas de fuerza con Metcon, y ahora mismo estamos haciendo una programación más basada en el volúmen y las sensaciones. Todo esto no me sería posible sin mi «Singular Team», al que debo de mencionar, sobre todo por el apoyo de los atletas que tengo a mi lado, como Aarón Cordero, que no hacen más que ayudarme a superarme día a día, Álvaro de Ramón que me da esa serenidad y no perder el foco, David García que proporciona su experiencia en competiciones y ritmo mantenido y nuestra joven promesa Nacho. Sin ellos para mi este reto no seria posible.
Nuestros entrenamientos ahora mismo son METCON pesados principalmente, esa es la base tras ellos tambien trabajamos nuestra resistencia con series de remo largas de 5000m o en intervals de 1000mts. Y los días que podemos pues hacemos a las tardes algo de fuerza o halterofilia. Pero depende un poco de como nos encontremos 😉
Nuestra alimentación se basa en comer adecuadamente comidas saludables sin preocuparnos ahora mismo por la cantidad.
Mi día tipo… me levanto a las 05h50, bebo un vaso de agua tibia, me visto y tomo claras de huevo en polvo + avena en polvo + anabolic protein + ener9y + café solo americano con una cucharada de manteca de coco. A las 06h40 tomo los bcaas con el cardio igniter + 6 dátiles. Durante el entrenamiento una bebida tónica. Tras el entreno me tomo un plátano + anabolic protein. Despues almuerzo una patata + pollo. Mi comida es el menú que el gran chef Carlos Fernández me prepara día a día (verdura + carne), si entreno esa tarde otra vez repito lo mismo que lo de la mañana. Y para la cena depende de qué me apetezca, si pescado o pollo con ensalada o puré. Y los fines de semana que puedo tomo legumbres para cargar bien ;-). Alguna vez me permito algun dulce 😉
¿Cuáles son tus objetivos para el próximo año?
Mis objetivos para el 2014, que te podría decir… mi sueño sería entrar a Regionals, lo daré todo, aunque si consigo estar en los 100 de Europa lo consideraré un auténtico éxito. De momento me he calificado para el «Wodapalooza Event» en Miami, evento al que asistirán Neal Maddox, Guido Trinidad, Noah Olsen, etc. Será a mediados de enero y será mi prueba de fuego. Otro de mis objetivos es clasificarme para el «Central Europe Throwdown» y si lo consigo, estaré en Bratislava el 9 de febrero en otra prueba de fuego. Y ya lo siguiente es focalizarme en los OPEN y darle ya toda la atención a mi «Team» para que hagan un gran papel en los OPEN.
